The Royal Wedding... "William & Kate"

My invite seemed to have been lost in the "post" for this wedding. (Insert English accent here) lol

You ask do I show tears at most weddings I photograph?  Well the answer is... I t r y and keep my composure. Trust me... it's hard to do, but I know I have a professional job to do when I capture a wedding ceremony. I'm there to find all the moments that are sometimes missed.  I'm there to capture history and all the traditions held.  I'm there to pay attention to detail and to make sure I can photograph as many things as I can, so the couple can see their day how I saw it.  Do I miss shots? Well... the answer is... (maybe in my own mind)...sometimes yes ... but its usually compensated by finding other FABulous shots. :-)

Although I couldn't quite capture this wedding in its true form... I was still able to capture it through the hotel TV's.

Complete Look

The theme for me this year seems to be chunky frames with zero matting or glass.  I like to bring a balance to the frame and the photo.  Not necessarily focusing on one or the other... but focusing on the whole complete framed picture.  (Maybe that makes sense... maybe it doesn't!)  LOL

New But Old (NBO)

My old backdrop stayed stationed & abandoned for 5 years without use in storage... and it was time to move it to its proper home.  I'm excited to get this puppy back into use...but for now, I'm in a right mess with much work to be done. Yikes!

Etc...Editing... Editing.... Editing Etc...

....As I sit in front of my computer on this fine Monday evening (editing my heart out, answering e-mails, organizing my week, blogging etc etc etc...).... loan behold the next image on deck comes up and makes me totally smile.  I think to myself... "Self...yes this is why you do this.  This is why its all worth it."

How cute is this simple smile :-)

Cousins!!

When I think back about growing up... a big part brings me back to hanging out with cousins.  I had my favorites, not that I would ever say who they are...but I love all my cousins dearly.  Distant, close and far away........... I simply love my cousins.

Looks like a a great day for a spring wedding.  I'll take +16 any day!... With some sun & cloud!

Although it isn't the greenest of green outside,.... when you have a bride and groom lookin' so good, nothing else matters!

I love signs.  You can get away with anything on the wedding day. ;-)

Project Exterior

I was feelin' like the outside of the studio was looking a little boring. It was a little drab. Heck, lets face it!...It was plain'old sucky boring... and it was time to fix that.

I'm workin' on an little exterior project. (Darn you Michaels & Home Sense for having such cool things to work with!)

The goal?  Stay on budget, go for a dis-stressed look & make it welcoming.

As always I'll post some images of the finish result. (Yikes... I need a few more days for the paint to dry and I ran out of sandpaper. Home Depo, here I come)
