Project 365> Day Sixty-Five
The rain came today...
and for lack of better words... I don't mind one bit.
The air smells fresh and the birds are still singing. Its the perfect way to spend an afternoon absorbed in the sounds of freedom. ;-)

Project 365> Day Sixty-Four
All trees are beautiful...but there is something unique about palm trees. If you close your eyes and imagine a californian landscape, chances are you've pictured at least one palm tree in your mind.
Sometimes when I need to take myself to a place of relaxation, I think about palm trees.

Project 365> Day Sixty-Three
Life around us... is anything but ordinary.
There are cracks in the road and you're expected to make decisions (easy & not-so-easy) and you're pulled in all sorts of directions. Its a part of life...whether you're 5 or 65. Most of the decisions you make in life are minute, some complex. Since things are going to happen anyway, shouldn't we maintain the most positive solution & attitude?
Absolutely.
And absolutely decisions are best made in the morning. NOT at night when everything seems impossible and exhaustion takes over. lol
It doesn't matter which way you go, which way you step, where you turn. As long as you're happy doing it... That's all that matters.

Closeups
I've never been more fascinated with trees...especially closeup. No two trees are the same.... so in a way, trees are much like people.
More to follow! I promise!

Project 365> Day Sixty-Two
If you're a man and you can get your hands on a pair of Penguins... buy them. ;-)
With a trip to DSW Shoes... we managed to pick up more than enough pairs to last throughout the year. In this case: Quality AND quantity played a factor.

Texture In Trees
For in the true nature of things, if we rightly consider, every green tree is far more glorious than if it were made of gold and silver. ~Martin Luther
Project 365> Day Sixty
You're a passenger in the vehicle and you hit a red light.
You look up.
There it is:
... A cool picture....aka "The shot"...
A slight hesitation sets in.
Left shoulder says: "Lisa.... do it, take it.. HURRY"
Right shoulder says: "Relax and enjoy the friggin' ride already... forget about you're darn camera for once and sit in peace".... lol
So....not to get all weird and artsy-fartsy on you, but it was almost a picture from the car window that I didn't take... half due to laziness AND the fact that I didn't feel like fumbling for my camera in my purse AND rolling down the car window AND trying to take the right shot in a millisecond while the light turned green.... AND trying to explain to everyone in the car what I justified taking a photo of. lol
...But I did take that picture and I'm glad I took it. It was one of those moments I felt I must have been in the perfect spot at the right time. Who knew birds on a wire could grab my attention. ;-)
Day sixty today... Only 305 more days to go. ;-)

Tennis Championships
I was just saying the other day, I really need to practice more sports photography.
I try not to say things like..."oh I don't shoot that... or I don't like shooting this..." I like to at least say that I tried and I like to challenge myself. Yes, it may not be my "thing"... but I still like to take a crack at it. Turns out photographing tennis is more challenging than I thought. ;-)
All these images are shot with my 70-200 2.8 ... killer lens fyi. ... and fyi, the shirtless photogenic stud belongs to moi. ;-) tee he lol
