Children's Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan - Lisa Landrie - A Photogenic Life
It was an absolute honor to capture history in the making. The new Children's hospital is going to be amazing and being present at the ground breaking made everything reality that this is really happening. I can't wait for the day when they open the doors. This is huge for Saskatchewan!!!!

Life Is Only Beginning - Lisa Landrie - Saskatoon Photographer
Life as we know it is ever changing. Every day there are challenges, stresses, new things, old things, happy moments, sad moments. All of the above. So when my own personal life takes a turn for (the worst)... I can't do anything but consume my existence with the wonderful people around me. And that I truly have. I have SO many amazing people in my life who support me...it can actually make me cry. Happy tears of course.
Some people need certain things to survive. I need my world filled with sights that hold so much beauty I can't help but be thankful to be on this earth. If I have one purpose in life, I think its to document just that. Life.
Life is only beginning.

Saskatoon Family Photographer - Lisa Landrie - A Photogenic Life
Tis the season... Fall season is upon us and the family sessions are in full bloom. Its my favorite time of year for outdoor photos as the evening light starts to go down. Bring your warm drinks and fuzzy scarves. Time to get cozy for fall.
A sneak peek into a farm session that happened a few weeks ago. What a photographers play ground!

Summer Sessions - Lisa Landrie - Saskatoon Family Photography
Summer has been interesting. Hot days, windy days, lots of sun, bugs... mild temps, overcast, some rain, crazy humid, smoky skies. You name it. Sometimes its hard to plan family sessions with our beloved summer weather... but when the light is right and everything works out... I can't help but think, I love what I do.

Where do the days go?
Before you know it weeks whip by and I haven't updated my little blog! Well actually it's not like I haven't been blogging. lol I've been running a few blogs and its quite the task! Feel free to check out some projects I've been up to!
Lost River Permaculture
Our Collective Muse
Its been a blessing to be so busy with shooting and such. It was also a blessing to meet this lovely family. They were awarded a gift certificate through a fundraiser for The Children's Hospital Foundation. We decided the river was the best location and aside from the windy conditions...it turned out wonderful.

Camera Lessons 101 - Lisa Landrie - Saskatoon Photographer
Ever bought one of those fancy cameras with lenses and got it home and you're like…"This thing sucks, I don't know how to use it, it takes horrible pictures."
….. lol Perhaps its user error? ;-) Just kidding (not really).
It was decided last year that I wanted to offer a little bit of a cool thing.
Camera lessons.
So not "photography lessons"…but rather, camera lessons. A little private lesson on how to use your SLR camera and actually get a great shot of Uncle Phil blowing out his 70th birthday candles.
My private lessons are for the mom who loves being able to pick up her camera and capture her sleeping two year old, for an amateur who just needs a little refresher or for someone who wants to get some good use out of their SLR camera. OR I'll even let you practice on Nikon cameras so you can decide what you'd like to buy for the future. I give insight on how to organize your photos and some tips on better shooting… but ultimately YOU are behind the camera. You have to be the one to decide that you want to take your camera everywhere so you can become a better camera owner.
My private one-on-one lessons are relaxed, non-technical….. in fact the term you'll hear most frequently is… "that do-hicky button…" lol
My "student" last week…. the ever so talented mother of two, wife, sewer, knitter extraordinaire took my little lesson and it was sooooo much fun hanging out. As always my assistant "Molly"…. posed as well as she could for us.
