Project 365> Day Two Hundred & Ninety-Three

I always like meeting an artist who is unlike anyone traditional.  It's the interesting people you meet that can inspire you the most and my own journey as an artist is finding inspiration from all walks of life.

Born Mark William Blackford, and now known throughout the country and beyond as "Max Lightbender", Max hails from Memphis, Tennessee and now resides in California. Max and his creative team are located at Lightbender Art Studio's exciting new company headquarters, 73-255 El Paseo Drive in Palm Desert.

I can describe his work in three simple words...intriguing, diverse & puzzling.  I captured this image today as he stood and shared his own journey on how he became an artist.  :-)

Its one of those days you can make it into whatever your heart desires.

Project 365> Day Two Hundred & Eighty-Nine

I had a dream last night I was on a horse... galloping through an open field. It was the most liberating dream ever.

I'm sure if you know me, you would have met the famous family horse Pal (on the left).  Pal is my childhood horse, our family horse yes and he will always be the faithful sweetheart that he is.  There's no denying his name... he's your Pal.   ...But for a horse with a name so noble, we all agreed that Pal needed a pal.  No one should be alone really... not even a horse. ;-) So after all these years of having his own trails to himself...today we welcomed Ben (on the right)...aka The Black Stallion. lol

He literally fit in perfect... and we're all pretty excited to have a new addition to the family. :-)

Project 365> Day Two Hundred & Eighty-Eight

I often think those Californian's don't know what their missing.  If its one thing I love about having winter.... its the need for fashion boots.  I couldn't live without 'em.

I haven't done the technical in awhile...  This was shot with ISO 1000, 100 @ F1.8.  I used the light from a window slightly to the side of the subject. There are so many ways to use your light.  Use it wisely. :-)

Project 365> Day Two Hundred & Eighty-Seven

What is it about bathing suit shopping that makes it one of the most dreaded things on earth?!

I'd have to say on the "fun scale" from one to ten... one being the lowest and ten being the highest,  I'd say last night's experience was about a seven.  The sales gal was wonderful, the "sexy & I know it" music playing was fitting and the lady in the change room next to me was amazing.  I think her words were... "honey, don't worry what you got... there is a heck of a lot worse on the beach"  LOL  I took off three points from this experience due to the fact that bathing suit shopping is still by far the most uncomfortable thing to accomplish successfully.

I never did find a suit. The search continues.  So in leu of going bathing suit shopping last night, I decided eating salads might be my best option for the next while.  lol

Table For Three... In The Park

A dream family session... I couldn't ask for nicer faces to photograph.

This one year age is a great time for pictures.  Adorable. Adorable... Adorable!  Such a happy face :-)

Table for Seven

Some families are a lot like smoothies...  Blended, lovely and sweet.  Some things are just meant to come together. :-)  Here was one of my last family fall sessions and an awesome one at that.

Even though there are still leaves on the trees, mother nature decided we needed snow early. ... which I'm not entirely bummed over.  I also love family sessions in the snow... bring out the hats and scarfs!

Project 365> Day Two Hundred & Eighty-Six

A lone leaf lays in denial trying to accept the fact that winter ...is... in fact... here to stay.  At least that's what it feels like... and not to complain because it opens up a whole new canvas for outdoor photos.  A rather cold canvas. lol

I may need to migrate. lol

Project 365> Day Two Hundred & Eighty-Five

Who am I even? lol

I come to work on a snowy day like today thinking it was a Pellegrino kind of day. ...but it really was.  The snow made for a perfect backdrop for a really cool bottle. :-)

Project 365> Day Two Hundred & Eighty-Two

Color this real is breathtaking.  Maybe another word would be intense because I love colors that are natural and real.

I'm not quite ready yet for the winter color palette...  Even though I love the color white. Go figure. lol

Project 365> Day Two Hundred & Eighty-One

Even on one of the cloudiest, coldest and rainiest days of the year...I'd say this bench has one of the best views in town.

TGIF.... It's friday people. Enjoy your weekend!

Table For Three... Plus Bump.

My job?
...Take the photos in the most natural way possible.
 That's my goal.

To a certain extent, I need to pose you in a relaxed scenario...after all my job is to take pictures and I love taking pictures. This we know :-) lol

I think these faces below are very excited to have a new addition to the family. ... especially that cute adorable little face in the pink. She's an absolute doll.

Project 365> Day Two Hundred & Eighty

This might be a sight for sore eyes... however another person's trash is another person's photography project. :-)

Hub City Iron is a full service metals processing and recycling facility that services retail, wholesale and industrial clients both at home and abroad. They buy, sell and recycle all types of ferrous and non-ferrous material, including: copper, aluminum and brass alloys, coated copper wire, tech wire and aluminum wire.

So yes... as much as this is hard to look at, I'm glad there are companies that can recycle what is no longer needed. :-)

Baby Girl

This baby girl is loved without a doubt.

Table For Four

If I could pick one season to last all year.... 100% it would be fall time. I love it.
