A few months ago, I lost my Auntie Chris (my mothers sister) to liver cancer. She was a mother. She was amazing. She raised two beautiful daughters.
When you lose a loved one, you're expected to move on and celebrate the life they had. Easy task? Kinda-sorta-not-really... but we as humans learn to cope and accept all the bumps in the road. The only way I know how to heal is to commemorate through pictures. :-)
For the month of May donate at least $25 (or any amount) to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of all the mothers past ....and come in for a fancy free photo booth shoot with your mom. If your mom has passed on, bring a photo of her and we can still keep the memory alive. Call 717-0399 for details and to book your spot. ;-) All Mothers are welcome.
I've wanted to share these photos below for awhile now. No fancy lighting required. Just simple photos of Auntie Chris with her daughters and grand-daughters before she passed. It wasn't a time to sit back and be sad. My Auntie Chris wouldn't have it. In fact, we weren't allowed to get upset. I loved that about her. We had a great time taking these photos together. Lots of laughs, smiles and memories. She is still missed... but not forgotten.
Lets celebrate Mothers... because they are simply fabulous.
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. - Eleanor Roosevelt
