Project 365> Day Two Hundred & One

So more about my garden.... because I'm oh-so-proud. lol.... but this morning when I looked to see if there was any zucchini... I was mesmerized instead by this flower hidden among the green leaves.

I never knew this flower was the result of growing zucchini. Amazing really.  .... though I'm not sure whats more amazing ... this flower, or the fact that I'll be able to make loads of chocolate zucchini cake this fall. ;-)

Project 365> Day Two Hundred

The best thing about my 365 is I make a point every-single-day... to take a meaningful image.  This project is all about me, the things I love, the things I see. ... the things I want to hold on to.

I've made it to day 200....which means 165 more days to go.  Its not like after this is finished I'll stop taking pictures, in fact.... I may take more.  ;-)  Much more.

It seems like this year is going by so .... so fast.  The path its taking me...is breathtaking.

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Ninety-Nine

My first garden is like a bounty from heaven above.

I think you learn from everything.  I've learned I planted things to close to one another... LOL but I love how it all flows together tight.... like a little forrest of organic food.

Nothing like heading out to the back yard to grab some lettuce for sandwiches. ;-)

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Ninety-Eight

I know its awesome to admire the yellow fields from inside the car while driving.... but I couldn't resist slamming on the breaks today to grab some shots.  I think every year I forget how amazing the color is.

Wedding Day

Today they married each other.....

It was a blessing to be able to capture their day... and I can't wait to post some teasers.  For now, here were the engagement shots with some snow left on the ground. ;-)  Today was anything but cold out! lol

Singing In The Car

Its true. I love to sing in the car.... and thank goodness someone was there to capture the moment.

I get pretty intense... and in other words, I sing like I mean it. lol

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Ninety-Seven

A little mode of heaven.... all wrapped up in a 20 X 50 lot at Blackstrap Lake.  My Shawn and I are beyond excited with the massive possibilities on this tiny space called..... himmmmm, that is yet to be determined.  Truthfully the summer might technically be half over (yikes).... but its only beginning for us. ;-)  Our massive little lot has a spacious boathouse garage with loads of potential and envisioning the possibilities is the best part. :-)

Lots of projects on the horizon.... but with a quaint view like this, how can you not be excited. :-)

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Ninety-Six

I've always offered custom framing... and I still recommend it on very large prints.  ... but this new venture is something I'm pretty excited about and knowing its not everyone's style of frame, I'm positive they can work in any style of home.  Not to get all sales-pitchy....  but seriously, these frames are super cool.  Organic Bloom Frames.... Now exclusively offered through Lisa Landrie.

This will be one of many posts about these unique frames.  Now its time to fill the empty spaces with gorgeous photography and create some eye candy.

Be sure to stay tuned!

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Ninety-Five

Today brought me to Bridge City Speedway to photograph Nascar racer Jim White behind the scenes and on the track.
If you hang around long enough and always keep an eye out. .... "your" favorite shot will happen.  Trust me. ;-)  In the editorial world, sometimes you have to work with what you've got and make the absolute best of it.   For todays 365, I chose the first image simply because it was one of those moments you couldn't have planned better.

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Ninety-Four

Your mother might be the type that got rid of your first baby bib.... but my mother is the type that keeps things you realize are dear to your heart later on in life.

If I had to keep one thing forever... its this sweater.  The picture of me wearing it on our family boat has always been a classic.

Table For Three

I have to say I've really enjoyed shooting family pictures this year.  Picking the right location really helps to make it true to your family.  When you find the right setting... everything just flows naturally.

Thats the way it should be. ;-)

Home Free Organizing Solutions

The face behind the scenes... Natasha from Home Free Organizing Solutions gave me the motivation I needed to start purging and organizing.  I'm a pretty organized person as it is and I wouldn't say I'm a hoarder.... but one does collect a few things they don't need over the years. ... And I'll be honest, the junk drawer in the house might still always be labelled "the junk drawer" but sometimes you just need an organized junk drawer. lol ;-)

Nonetheless... being organized is probably one of the best feelings in the world. Sometimes its a process and I know in my own world, life runs a whole lot smoother when things are in order and when they have a place. :-)

All Together Now

I love when families make the effort to ALL gather for some pictures together. Its great to get the cousins together...

Sisters

I had an all-out-BLAST... with these gals.  I laughed till my stomach hurt actually...lol

We go waaaaay back.....  Back to the days of hanging on the school bus.... on route to good'ol Clavet.

I love the connection they have as sisters...  Its a perfect match. ;-)

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Ninety-Three

I've lived in Saskatoon my whole life... and never managed to walk on the train bridge as a train was going by.  Its one of those things I think to myself... as long as it happens once in my lifetime, I'd be cool with it.

You can try and wait for things to happen in life... and sometimes they don't happen.  Even in the simplest situations, you have to make it happen for yourself.

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Ninety-Two

It wasn't anything out of the ordinary because cattle obviously need water... but it was a mesmerizing moment watching 60 heifers all in a row... follow one another to the water bowl for a drink on this hot Sunday.

Its funny the things you can find surreal on a farm.  ;-)

GARAGE SALE TODAY! 55 Assiniboine Drive!

One can accumulate lots over a twelve year period living in a home. Its time to shed some weight, out with the old... and pass on some treasures! ;-)  This won't be the only day for this sale.... but for sure what doesn't sell this summer will be donated to The Diabetes Association. ;-)

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Ninety

A luncheon for two.  ;-)

We sat and enjoyed each other's company, the ambiance, the food... the cold beverages.  Earls patio is probably one of my favorite places to feel like I'm in a secret garden, surrounded by vines & music.

The best part though.... is the company. ;-)

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Eighty-Nine

I can say I don't 100% know "personally" some of my readers, my followers....my cherished strangers. ;-)  I think my newest fan might be my mom... lol... but your mom is supposed to love what you do no matter what right? lol ;-)... And I pretty much know who my followers are when I bump into anyone that mentions my 365 project. (wink wink... you know who you are) lol... and I know for sure my Shawn is my #1 fan and without him, I might be lost.

...but as far as Im concerned, half the time I might live inside a bubble and whatever is on the outside might not see what I see. I guess I was wrong. ;-)

A meeting of the minds this was... and I inspired a stranger.  Which is pretty cool when you think about it.  I still can't figure out with having so many people in common... we never had a chance meeting.  lol Its one of those things if you meant to meet all the people you were supposed to at once... life would get pretty boring later on.

So a lawyer by day... photographer by night. This face loves taking pictures as much as I do.   She is on a photo journey herself searching for inspiration... which she might not know it yet, but she can find it right behind those ray ban sunglasses.

Happy Thursday... and if today is your friday.... then have yourself a darn good weekend. :-)
