Project 365> Day One Hundred & Seventy

Its the moment when you're about to hit that ball...   You're about to give it all you have and give it all you got.  Then.... Bang!  Its the perfect hit right down the line passing through everyone like nobody's business.

This hit is brought to you by Miss Kristen... Baseball player extraordinaire.

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Sixty-Nine

Thinking I should probably become a food critic. Although I would be a women of few words because my mouth would be full of delicious food.  I'll stick to the photography for now. ;-)

Pulled pork sandwich at Prairie Harvest Cafe. Simply amazing.

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Sixty-Eight

It's almost as if they are tame and don't mind you getting in close....

Grad 2012

'Tis the season of happy graduates!

I babysat these "now grow up" kids when they were very little....  changed diapers...gave cuddles, made meals...played & played... all that jazz.  It was how I learned to become a motherly figure to this day. :-)

These kids (they will always be kids to me).... will always have a special place in my heart. :-)

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Sixty-Seven

If I told you there was such a thing as a Maple Bacon Doughnut, would you believe me?  You should.

Prairie Harvest is one of my favorite places to meet friends and enjoy intriguing... yet simple amazing food.

So anyhow... Here we go: In house made doughnuts with maple bacon glaze, served with maple creme fraiche and cranberry coulis.  This is the best $7.00 you will spend all year. ;-)

Dress For Success

A few weeks ago..... Home Free Organizing Solutions paired up with Dress For Success and hosted a used clothing auction at the amazing Luna & Hill location. (sorry for the run-on sentence!)

It was such an honor to snap some pictures from the evening.  I love this sort of thing. ;-)

Friends, shopping, finding treasures...and it was a perfect night to raise some funds for a good cause.

You can read more about this amazing organization here.....

Table For Almost 4... Plus Lulu (dog)

Always a pleasure to have these faces in the studio again. :-)

A new addition is such a exciting time for everyone... including baby brother.

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Sixty-Six

Wondering how much helicopters cost... because  it may be the only and easiest solution to our summer road construction. ;-)

I can see me now.... In the skies, with my Ray Ban Aviators... flying over Saskatoon getting where I need to go in 2.2 seconds.  Roger that... 10-4... Over and out.

The technical on this photo:
ISO 500, 250 @F5.6... Finished off with a muted color grain action in photoshop. ;-)

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Sixty-Five

Not that I like counting down the days.... but I like even numbers. lol ....So on this photo journey, there are 200 more days to go. ;-)
Eeeasy.
When you love taking pictures, finding things to photograph isn't too hard. :-)

You can find amazing trees at the Forestry Farm... and what a perfect day to go tree searching....but I spent most of the day at my desk de-cluttering my email inbox, opening mail and putting out fires (as I like to call it) lol Although on this sunny hot summer day... there were no major fires to report.

Only you can prevent forest fires. ;-)

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Sixty-Four

A pretty mother dove sits on her nest.... and she calmly let me get in close without hesitation.  I have suddenly really fallen in love with nature at its finest.

Enjoy this wonderful Sunday. :-)

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Sixty-Three

Kinsmen park is probably the best place for a kids shoot...
Open space, shade, trees, picnic tables, rides....  and the fact that I've been on these same rides as a child, brings all the memories back.

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Sixty-Two

Any baby is precious.

We as humans love to nurture & care for them..... watch them grow.  I officially... secretly...want a baby horse now. lol

This little one I was told might be named with something that starts with an "L"....  hehe... Well Im obliged to suggest... Lisa...lol... but I'll be honest, it somehow doesn't fit right... lol.  I tossed the idea in there anyways...lol  Can you imagine a horse named Lisa?!?!? ;-)  Nope. lol  Its waaaay toooo 80's...

The technical terms...  This was shot in a darker inside area, so my higher ISO came in handy.
ISO 1600 ...50 @ F2.8....with a tad of natural light on the side.

Project 365> Day One Hundred & Sixty-One

Awhhhhhh perennials. :-)
I love them even more when I don't know what they are. lol  .... and I really should know what they are ....especially because I planted them. ;-)

Hosta maybe?  Anyone? Anyone?  Help me out... haha ;-)

Table For Four

If I can capture everyone smiling, looking at me, engaging with the camera...its awesome.....

...but if I can capture emotion, real life and the beauty surrounding us... I'm a pretty happy camper.

Thanks to this family for the awesome food bank donation!

Canvas... Vintage Style

In love with this one.  Might have to do one for myself. lol ;-)

See... thats the problem. lol... I end up loving what people order for canvas prints and want one for my office walls.

Oh the joys of being an artist. ;-) hehehe

Food Bank

Lots of food rolling in for the food bank!  Wowza!  The generosity from my clients and friends is outstanding.

If you are new visiting the blog...
When you book a photo shoot in June, be sure to bring some non perishable food... and receive a 5 x 7 print.

Simple as that. :-)  I truly thank you!

Grade 8 Grad

City kids leave grade 8 and enter a whole new school...a new territory.  Its a pretty big thing I think.

I think its very cool there is such thing as a grade 8 grad.  Any excuse to buy a cute-fun dress is a good excuse. ... then the hair... then the makeup. ..then the photos etc.  hehehehe :-)

Being a girl is sooooo fun. :-)  We think so. lol
